The project is a physical theatre piece about the journey of a woman, Melissa, that is experiencing the loss of a beloved one and her agony of standing up on her feet again. She follows the path of nature’s reincarnation which is wilting, falling, rooting, rising and blooming. The idea is based on Rupi Kaur’s book “The Sun and her flowers”. Her loss though is not only connected with her personal trauma but is linked to the general idea of uprooting from our country, from our home, from our beloved ones, from our mother’s womb. The performer joins her voice with the voices of women that have migrated and experienced their own personal drama and have created a community in the heart of Athens "Melissa". The goal is to raise the voices of these women, to communicate the huge problem of migration due to wars, unstable political situations and economic crisis in Europe of 21st century and try to help through art, organisations in Athens that support refugees. And all these through the spectrum of love and nature.
